ENGL 417 - Writer's Craft

In-depth study of the creative writing process. Students develop a craft workbook that focuses on contemporary forms and strategies. Students write by assignment and develop techniques of reviewing in order to compare and contrast certain authors' aesthetics with their own creative writings. May be taken twice for credit. May not receive credit for both ENGL 417 and ENGL 314 and/or ENGL 340. Prerequisite: ENGL 351 or permission of instructor. Three hours per week with enhancement.
