Focuses on the study and practice of planning and creating advertisements and advertising techniques such as campaign planning, copy writing and media placement. Explores the aesthetic dimensions of advertising expression and cultural dimensions of reading and interpreting advertisements. Overview of how the advertising industry operates, what ad people do, and the effects of advertising on society. Prerequisite: C or better in CMAT 301. Three hours per week with enhancement.
