Introduces students to the basic principles of human communication. Students explore elements of communication in various contexts such as interpersonal relationships, small groups, organizations and in public arenas. In each context, students come to understand how communication functions as well as the consequences of particular communication choices. Three hours per week with enhancement. Meets General Education IIIA and IIIC (Prior to Fall 2008: IB).
