This course will impart to occupational therapy students a comprehensive overview of theoretical approaches utilized with clients diagnosed with physical disease, disability or disruption in occupation. Students will develop skills in discerning multiple physical conditions and disease processes while enhancing problem identification technique. The case study model will be used to enhance student's understanding of therapeutic and professional problem solving based in occupational science and the language presented in the occupational therapy practice framework. Two lecture hours per week. Limited to OCT majors. Prerequisite: OCT411. Co-requisite: OCT413.
