This course will utilize a variety of assessment tools for problem identification, interpretation, planning and implementation of intervention strategies for the management and treatment of clients with psychosocial illness. Students will attain knowledge pertaining to the occupational therapy practice framework and appreciate the uniqueness of activity analysis in the creative decision making process for clients afflicted with psychosocial dysfunction. This course includes laboratory experiences to develop clinical reasoning and practice skills and students will participate in level one fieldwork to integrate practice and theory. Two lecture hours and two laboratory hours per week. Limited to OCT majors. Not open to students who have received credit for OCT407. Prerequisite: OCT408. Co-requisite: OCT411.
