Students will continue to build on the previous foundation of exploring human environment/field interactions by caring for individuals and families in a variety of health care settings. Nursing care of the adult in the acute care setting will be the primary focus. Course content will be presented utilizing the nursing science indices as the foundation for the development of knowledge and competency in medical-surgical practice. Offered as a quarter course. Four lecture hours and fifteen hours of clinical laboratory per week. Prerequisites: BIO105, BIO200, BIO201, BIO304, CHE124, CHE125, MAT247, NUR212A, PSY101, PSY322, SOC201. Co-requisite: NUR370.
