This course provides an introduction to the general principles of research methods in the social sciences with particular emphasis on social work agencies and evaluative research. Students become familiar with basic research concepts and are able to understand and critique journal articles. Students develop a small research proposal. Three lecture hours per week. Required of all Social Work majors. Prerequisite: Junior status or permission of Department Chairperson.
