This course will focus on the role of the professional nurse in acute care. It offers an opportunity to broaden one's knowledge of human-environmental interaction and to apply that learning in student selected experiences in a medical-surgical practice setting. The nursing science indices serve as the foundation for expanded knowledge and competencies. Four lecture hours per week. Fortyfive hours of clinical practice for the semester. Limited to LPN-BSN students through the Evening Division. Prerequisites: NUR360A, NUR361A, NUR409. Co-requisite: NUR370.
