This course is an introduction to the principles and applications of project management techniques with an emphasis on managerial methods. Topics include project planning, work team design, project estimation techniques, project reporting, identifying and controlling project risks, budgets, and quality assurance. Students will learn to use a project management system in order to practice and apply the above techniques. Three lecture hours per week. Required in the Business Administration Management Information System concentration, elective in Business Administration Operations and Decision Sciences concentration, and open to others by permission of the Department Chairperson. Prerequisite: BUS170.
