This course will develop the student's competence in the core functions of the human resource manager. The course is designed to prepare the student for entry into the field of human resource management in business organizations. The student will learn skills associated with key areas of human resource management; job analysis, employee selection, performance appraisal, compensation, and strategic planning. The student will be exposed to current issues confronted by human resource management practitioners. Prerequisite: MGT330.
