This course is an introduction to Management Information Systems. The course provides systematic insight into the problem of identifying an organization's recurring information requirements. The insight will be focused on the business processes, which facilitate the decision making. Particular emphasis will be given to the analysis of problem situations and the design of attendant information systems necessary to meet these problems. These information systems will cover all current major trends in the information systems field. Three lecture hours per week. Required in the Business Administration Management Information Systems concentration, elective in the Business Administration Operations and Decision Sciences concentration, and open to others by permission of the Department Chairperson. Prerequisite: MIS201.
