This course focuses on issues of management of existing small businesses, with particular emphasis on the dynamics of family firms. Specific areas to explore include human relations, communication, leadership, conflict resolution, and strategic management of family owned businesses. Succession and transitioning at entry and later levels play important roles in this experimentally based course. Three lecture hours per week. Prerequisite: MGT337 or MGT350.
