This course is designed to provide the student with an understanding of principles and practices specifically related to sport facility and event management. Predominant areas of focus will include facility design, funding, financial impact, trends, risk management, crowd management, and event planning, staffing, and organization. Three lecture hours per week. Major elective. Required for Sport Management Concentration. Recommended for Senior year. Not open to students who have received credit for SFL448. Recommended prior courses: SFL220B or SMS290, SFL242 or SMS291, SFL327B or SMS390, and SFL329 or SMS391.
