This course examines principles and successful international practices of sport managers in their pursuit to provide participants with a gradual path to excellence. Content will include systems of coaching, facilities, competitions, qualification, talent identification, and athlete development. These integrated systems reflect an emerging global model of high performance management that drives mass participation. Three lecture hours per week. Major elective. Required for Sport Management Concentration. Recommended for Senior year. Open to all students.
