This course will provide an overview of the basic theories and principles of interpersonal communication and will provide the student with an understanding of human interaction in a social world. This course explores communication competence, perception of self and others, nonverbal communication, language, listening, relationship building and relational contexts. Student will be given the opportunity to become more competent and empowered communicators. Three lecture hours per week. Prerequisite: SPC101 or SPC102H.
