This course examines how personality, self-concept, attitudes, and behavior of the individual develop in interaction with biological, social, and cultural forces. Topics include attachment theory, development of the self, aggression, gender and ethnic identity, and moral development. Three lecture hours per week. Prerequisite: A course in developmental psychology-PSY218, PSY251, PSY252, PSY322, PSY336, PSY432, or PSY544.
