An introduction to the African culture in the New World. Emphasis is on the United States and the Caribbean, with cursory looks at Latin America and Canada. This survey intends to acquaint the student with the rich socio-cultural background of the contemporary African living in the areas known as the New World. Three lecture hours per week.
