This course will provide students with two important sets of skills that are basic to the proficiency required by professional sociologists as well as students in such fields as education and human services. Course will set forth the fundamentals of grant writing and the process of obtaining federal, state and foundation grants. The second focus will be to provide students with the fundamental skills and concepts needed to conduct evaluation research. Three lecture hours per week. Prerequisite: SOC201 or SOC206 or by permission of the Department Chairperson.
