This Senior Seminar, a Capstone course for Music majors, is taken in the final curricular year and seeks to integrate and synthesize the knowledge gained in the music core. Among other topics, this course includes concert attendance as a class, and oral and written assignments based on these experiences. Undergraduate research is emphasized and topics are presented and discussed. Assignments may also include music composition, performance, and a recital as applicable to the student. Required of all Music majors. Course meets for two lecture hours per week. Not open to students who have received credit for MUS511. Prerequisite: Permission of the Department Chairperson.
