The first of a two-semester sequence for Music majors that teaches the fundamental skills required to play the piano. This course helps prepare students for the Piano Proficiency Exam. Music reading and technical skill are emphasized, benefiting the integration of learning throughout the Music major, and aiding the acquisition of accompaniment skills. This course meets for 150 minutes per week, may be repeated once for credit, but may not be used for credits toward the Music major.
