Investigation of the fundamentals of digital image processing as applied to remotely sensed data. Study of the physics of light and the hardware systems used to record specific wavelengths of the electromagnetic spectrum. Laboratory and fieldwork related to the digital analysis of LANDSAT and other imagery in a sequence of analytic processes common to problem solving. Three lecture hours per week.
