An interdisciplinary introduction to the peoples and cultures of Latin America. The course pays special attention to the contrasts and similarities between the countries that comprise this vast and complex region through the study of a variety of cultural texts that include films, music, newspaper and magazine articles, literary texts, and the Internet.
