This seminar provides advanced students with an opportunity to reflect more deeply on topics related to the language system or to the place of the language in society and culture. It covers various areas of language study not usually examined in lower level courses and will expand on topics covered in SPN410. Course topics may include Spanish/English Contrastive Linguistics; Sociolinguistics of the Spanish-speaking world; and Advanced Romance Linguistics. Prerequisite: SPN410 or permission of Department Chairperson.
