This writing course uses a sequence of single-focus writing exercises and prose models to promote mastery of the techniques of writing fiction. Topics include narrative structure, characterization, point-of-view, narration, description, voice and dialogue, and prose style. Writing assignments enable students to explore a variety of prose forms. Prerequisite: ENG300 or permission of the Department Chairperson.
