This discussion and writing course encourages students to develop contextual understanding of sporting activity and provides opportunities for students to practice writing about sports. Skills stressed in this course include determining newsworthiness of developments in the sports world, crafting stories with proper structure and style and editing one's work with an eye toward publication.
