Research in animal behavior from a phylogenetic perspective. Includes theoretical approaches, ethological methods, ethical concerns, sensory capacities, learning, cognition, and social behavior of animals. Field observations and experimental research for each topic. Field trips are planned to supplement lectures and discussions. Prerequisites: Psy 100 with a grade of 'C' or above and Bio 101 orpermission of instructor.
