Considers focuses on a social image and social change as reflected through cinema. Discussion will emphasize film as an important agent of socialization and the impact of its messages on society. By the completion of the course students will be able to examine and discuss the one-way flow of information and how it reflects and impacts cultural ideology. Prerequisite: 12 hours of sociology or consent of instructor.
