COMP 301 -- Advanced Writing (4) Focuses on argumentative writing as cooperative dialectic. Students try out different approaches to argument such as classical stasis theory, the Toulmin Model and Rogerian rhetoric. May also include attention to cultural contexts of argument such as gender and ethnicity. Prerequisite: COMP 201. Fall and Spring. Gen Ed: WI credit.
