LITR 407 -- Medieval Literature(3) Examines the major works and authors of the period in Europe from AD 500 to the 15th century and will also focus on its culture of Christianity, Arthurian Legends, and the Crusades. Students will explore Old English poetry with works like Beowulf, Caedmon's Hymn, and the Elegies, and will also read works by major authors, such as, Chaucer, Christine de Pizan, Julian of Norwich, and Margery Kempe. Prerequisites: LITR 200 or LITR 201, and LITR 300. As demand warrants. Formerly LITR 311.
