The course covers the issues of layoffs, recalls, turnover rate, training, career development, promotion and retirement. Other topics include capital-laobr substitution, the use of advanced technology, subcontracting, and temporary workers. The role of unions in various aspects of human resource management is also discussed. Fall and Spring.
