ARTH 390 -- Art Travel Seminar (3) The purpose of this field trip is to study art and architecture; to study at first hand works in art galleries; to assess the quality of light and space in specific architectural settings; and to understand where and why patrons commissioned specific works of art. The course is designed to offer the students first-hand experience through travel and research. Independent visual analysis will be stressed in conjunction with memorization of factual material.
