A required seminar for all full-time fi rst year students at Hastings College. Th e course covers the topics of college adjustment, healthy behaviors, career planning, and diversity. Focus is on the student's current and future lifestyle. Th e course is designed to instill in fi rst-year students the value of the liberal arts and to connect lines of inquiry across academic disciplines. Beginning with a session during New Student Days and possibly attending Artist-Lecture-Series events as well as other campus events, students can experience the integration of the liberal arts across the campus. Seven to eight week course. Each semester.
