The earth is a fragile spaceship where continents collide to crumple mountains and where the ocean-atmosphere system shifts to bring cold or warm climates. The course explores the workings of this dynamic world from the planet's core to the grassroots of its landscape. The earth is also viewed from the edge of the solar system to underscore its unique design in a comparison with other planets. Meets LAC outcome: NWA5. 3 crs.
