This course focuses on the theological, political, and social influences on church music throughout history. Emphasis is placed on the relationship among these historical issues and church music of today. The student develops a working philosophy of church music and explores ways of creatively communicating and building on this philosophy in a parish music program. Prerequisites: MU 331/332/333. 2 crs. representations of business in literature, media, and popular culture and examine how those representations embody and/or contest business practices, institutions, beliefs, and values. This course equips students with concrete skills in critical thinking. Meets LAC outcomes: AIB3, AIB4, HCD2. 5 crs.
