Botany in the twenty-first century is a dynamic area of study! Botanists develop medicinals from the shrinking reserves of our rainforests and discover and categorize new plant species before they disappear. Feeding a growing population has stimulated the creation of genetically manipulated crops. This multidisciplinary course will explore botany from a historical, sociological, and futuristic context and instill a greater appreciation for the botanical world around us. Meets LAC outcome: NWA4. 3 crs.
