Giant pandas and bald eagles evoke strong emotional responses. This course examines the issue of endangered species, considering environmental, economic, and political pressures. Students explore the role that federal, state, and local government agencies, non-government organizations, zoos, and ordinary citizens all play in determining the future survival of many plant and animal species.
