But what will life be like six months hence in the middle of winter What are the challenges posed by reduced energy input into the ecosystem What strategies do plants and animals use to survive to the next breeding season This course examines these questions through classroom studies and field trips to three different regional ecosystems: coastal, valley, and mountain.
