The oceans are an incredibly dynamic environmental system. This course will explore the workings of this system and understand the nature and origin of the ocean basins, currents, and the form and behavior of life within. A major focus will be the marine biology and oceanography of the Oregon coast. Field experiences will be arranged at the first class meeting. Students are required to attend a minimum of one field experience. Meets LAC outcome: NWA5. 3 crs.
