This course uses an interdisciplinary approach to understanding the political status and situation of women in the United States and around the world. Subjects covered include women's social movements, psychological gender differences important in the political arena, the "gender gap"in voting behavior, and women as candidates and elected officials. Prerequisite: Introduction to Political Science or equivalent, & junior status. Meets LAC outcome: HCA1. 3 crs.
