This course provides a survey of literature by and about Native Americans. It includes traditional oral works and more recent novels, short stories, poetry, and critical essays. Close attention will be placed on historical context, and how these contexts affected the social and cultural lives of Native Americans. Meets LAC outcomes: AIB4, HCA3.
