In this course, students sharpen their ability to anticipate alternative cultural perceptions; learn how decision making in cross-cultural situations is undermined by fatigue, stress, time-constraints, and other out-of-awareness factors; explore the roles of culture and language on identity development and cognitive change; and investigate the global implications of social constructivism on defining ethical behavior in intercultural contexts. Prerequisite: CCM 333 or equivalent training and experience with instructor consent. Meets LAC outcome: HCA4. 3 crs.
