Students will learn how to define and focus their information needs in a subject area, how to access and evaluate needed information, and how to transform information into the foundation for original writing. The course emphasizes thesis organization, process, and proper documentation and citation in addition to issues such as persuasion and audience analysis, as well as plagiarism.
