3 credits Students will examine principles of face-to-face and machine assisted interpersonal communication in various contexts, including the family, friendships and professional settings. Emphasis will be placed on helping students develop skills to improve their own communication strategies and practices. Among the topics covered will be conflict resolution, interviewing, and gender communication. Prerequisites: SPH 1004A, or junior or senior standing, or permission of instructor. Offered 2008-2010.
