3 credits This course will cover the Ancient Near East, Egyptian, Greek, Roman, and the medieval periods as well as the Renaissance up to the present in the history of western art. A comparative survey of painting, sculpture and architecture will take place through slide lectures and discussion. Field trips to museums are an integral aspect of the course. Offered: 2008 - 2010.
