1 credit Yoga for Health and Well-Being introduces students to this ancient science of well-being. Learning to listen to the wisdom of the body guides the practitioner in making health, life-enhancing decisions. Each class, a body- mind-spirit-experience, will include the philosophy of yoga, as well as a centering meditation, stretching, breathing techniques, yoga postures and deep relaxation. These activities release muscle tension, increase flexibility, strengthen the immune system, transform stress, expand awareness, and improve alignment and balance both on and off the mat. Every body is perfect for yoga. Offered: 2008 - 2010.
