3 credits A study of the most representative modern Latin-American short sto ries and novels from Borges to Garcia Marquez, as well as Asturias, Carpentier, Vargas Llosa, Manuel Puig, and others. If this course is taken for Humanities credit, reading and papers are done in English; if for Spanish credit, reading and papers are done in Spanish. Conducted in English.
