3 credits Current psychological theories and practices are examined to demon strate the way psychologists attempt to answer the fundamental question of why people do what they do. The student is asked to examine behavior from the biological, the personal, and the social perspective, as well as from divergent theoretical viewpoints. The ultimate aim is to provide the student with the intellectual tools necessary to evaluate critically the myr iad explanations of human behavior to which modern society is heir; in short, to develop the psychological imagination.
