3 credits This course considers the civil rights and liberties guaranteed by the Constitution. Special attention will be given to the study of criminal defen dants' rights (the Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, and Eighth Amendments), freedom of speech and religion (First Amendment), equal protection (Fourteenth Amendment), and the right to privacy.
