3 credits A course in numerical computation methods. This course will explore the mathematical background of various computer programming tech niques. It will cover numerical methods for solution of various types of mathematical problems. It will study error analysis, solutions of equations and systems of equations, interpretation techniques, series representa tions, computer integration, and computer solution of differential equa tions. Prerequisites: CSC 1009N or CSC 1012N; C- or better in MTH 1017A and MTH 1022A or a challenge exam. Offered: 2008 - 2010.
