3 credits This is a professional business-related course that provides students with an elementary understanding of the arbitration process within the career field of labor relations. Students will learn how to apply introduc tory principles of contract interpretation in regard to collective bargaining agreements. Arbitral standards will be considered as such apply to ambiguous contract language, past practice, due process and just cause. Students will learn how to analyze, prepare and professionally participate in business-related situations involving labor relations arbitration. Offered: 2008 - 2010.
